GFI’S INSPECTION PROCESS
I.BEFORE MASS PRODUCTION:
- Customer sends GFI the Sample PO and TOF. (Production Information)
- GFI QCs leader (most experienced QC) comes for Sample Review.
- Send the Sample Report (within 24 hour) for Customer to review.
+ If Customer accepts, start Mass Production.
+ If Customer denies, factory revises, QCs rechecks. - The Sample accepted by Customers is called Pre-Produce Sample Review (PPSR). QCs will based on it & inspect during mass Production.
II.DURING MASS PRODUCTION:
1.Raw material inspection stage:
All income Material will be inspected:
- Check all materials match the approved PPSR, Technical Specification
- Check all surface are completely dry and there's no colour transfer.
- Check all visual aspects.
- Record in Inspection Record sheet.
2.Inline Inspection stage:
100% of product will be inspected 1 by 1:
- Measure all Product dimensions and check conformity with PPSR, Technical Specification.
- Check components colour & colour match with PPSR, Technical Specification.
- Check Safety of metal components particularly looking for any sharp edges.
- Check all visual aspects ensuring no scratching/dirt/sharp edges/cracks/colour variation/dents/orange peel effect/paint crazing/runs/drips/raised filler/raised grain/sanding marks/uneven sanding/over-spray/uneven surface cover/surface stains etc.
- Evaluate all functions and determine if the Product is Safe and Fit for Purpose.
- Determine if any issues with assembly, photograph and record in Inspection Record sheet.
Once every aspect is carefully checked, QCs then stick a QC Label at a hidden position.
If QCs find any defects, factory has to revise. QCs recheck and only accept once the items are qualified.
3. Final inspection stage:
Only QC leaders are allowed to conduct the Final Inspection as its importance.
After all products are packed, QCs will check randomly based on AQL Level.
- Open package, inspect both the parcel & product following the Sample. Check the packaging materials, dimensions, safety
- Check Assembly Instructions.
- Check the fittings, both in the bag and pre-assembled, to ensure no damage, dirt, sharp edges, cracks or rust etc.
- Check all surface finishes, measure the moisture content. Check all visual aspects.
If the result is PASS, QC will agree to ship this PO.
If the result is FAIL, factory also has to revise for QC's rechecking.
4.Loading Inspection Stage:
QC will carefully check containers to avoid dirts, holes... before loading, require factory how to load correctly (load in row, no gaps, fragile products must be put above...).
The seal number will be put in the loading report and send to customer.
